information

Your cast is dependent on your script.

The director's job is to get the best performance from the actors. The director's idea of the script is what the film hopefully becomes, given that all cast and crew perform well and that Murphy does not wreak havoc and makes it his film.

The Character profiles are important to:

  • THE WRITER, as a good discription of the character will make writing the script easier to write. A character responds to an action in a certain way because of who they are, what they want or don't want, what they like or dislike, what they fear, what makes them happy or sad, who or what they love or hate
  • THE DIRECTOR, as he/she must interpret the script and find the best actor for each character to make the film
  • THE ACTOR, as the character profile will give the actor an idea of who he or she must become to be the character need by the script
Actors should have the oppurtunity to audition for a leading and supporting roles. The energy of the actor will bring life to the film and make the writer's thoughts and ideas a visual and audio event that can be recorded and eventually presented to the audience.
